After years of bargaining, an agreement was finally reached on the division of the prince’s inheritance. Each of the three final heirs will receive $6 million in cash plus a portion of music rights and other intangible assets, according to a Minnesota court.

Prince died in April 2016 at the age of 57. He had no will and no children making his sister and five half-brothers eligible for the inheritance. They did not agree with the partition at first. The youngest of the three heirs, one of whom died, was bought by music publisher Primary Wave Music.

At the beginning of this year, it was announced that the total value of the inheritance amounted to 156.4 million dollars. A spokesperson for Primary Wave told Billboard he was “extremely pleased” that the matter has now been closed.
