the hands! the hands! Flower festival! Lamy France has been in the carnival business for 11 years and will celebrate later this year with a dazzling show filled with sweets and packed with amazing guest performances at the Klockgeboo in Eindhoven. Meanwhile, he was recovering incognito from the crowded carnival haven. Last week it was seen on several stages of the Brabant Carnival. “It's a dream come true when I say 'Fijnfisjenie!' at 3 Uurkes Vurraf after the countdown. It might spread.”

In 2013, Lamy France released his first song, “All in One”. Frans wrote a carnival libretto for Nelson's song, with plenty of beer and other drinks, in short: he drinks everything at once. “This text is not only autobiographical, but is still written on the original beer mats on the wall of my house.”

Bear, tuba on trombone
After that first song, a new song followed almost every year. “You can make a beautiful carnival song out of all the songs. It's basically about the idea and the story you want to tell in the song. Add some beer, a tuba, a trombone and a lot of confetti and nothing can really go wrong.”

For 11 years, Lamy France has been compiling carnival songs with hits such as “Wakker Met Een Beertje” and “Fijnfisjenie!” And of course “Handjes Handjes Bloemetjescurtain”. “A true carnival memory, Of course we should have a good toast to that!”– said the cheerful carnival singer.

Saturday before 11-11
As if his epic marathon at the last Carnival 2024 was not enough, Lamme Frans is launching the “Handjes Handjes Bloemetjesfestijn!” Saturday 9 November at Klockgeboo in Eindhoven: the Saturday before the 11th of the 11th.

Who will be on the podium with France will remain a surprise for some time. “I've already contacted a lot of people and they've all been very excited.” There may be special duets or other collaborations between the concert artists before then.
