The investigation into the program presenter, Khaled Qassem, will continue for another month to two months. This was announced by the Dean of the Amsterdam Bar Association on Friday. Qasim is accused of bribing a public official when he was a lawyer.
During his time as an attorney at the law firm De Vries & Kasem, 45-year-old Kasem reportedly told Peter R. De Vries allegedly bribed an official. I mentioned that advertisement last week. The newspaper has four audio recordings from 2019, in which Qasim holds conversations with De Vries.
Qasim says in the recordings that he made an appointment with a client. In exchange for paying 8,000 euros to an official at the Custodial Institutions Service, the client will be released early.
Since the agent has not been released, he reports to De Vries. “Either this guy made a mistake, or you just bribed someone. We're in trouble with both,” De Vries is said to have told Qasim in the recordings.
The Dean of Central Holland is helping with the research
“Investigate allegations contained in publications Algemeen Dagblad The report by Barbara Romora Schiltema, Dean of the Amsterdam Bar, will continue from next week. The investigation is expected to take another month or two.
The research is carried out in cooperation with the Dean of Central Holland. This is primarily for a practical reason, says Romura Chiltema. In a case of this size and this much public interest, she says it's nice to be able to tap into the extra expertise.
After the news, Qasim resigned from work indefinitely. He will appear again on the talk show from January 29 Khaled and Sufi.
