Sony will launch LinkBuds S later this month: earplugs with an in-ear design. Regular LinkBuds feature a ring-shaped design through which sound is let through. Both LinkBuds S weigh 4.8 grams, which makes them the lightest Sony earbuds.

Due to this enclosed design, LinkBuds S also have active noise cancellation, which regular LinkBuds don’t. Sony claims it’s the lightest ANC headphones, weighing about 4.8 grams per ear. Both earbuds have microphones for voice calls and voice calls.

The earbuds have a touch-sensitive sensor for control and support Google’s Fast Pair function to quickly connect to Android devices. The earphones batteries can last for six hours with noise reduction, with the included charging case, the earplugs can last fourteen hours longer. Sony says a five-minute charge in this case gives you an hour of listening.

Sony’s LinkBuds S headphones appear in white, black and beige colours. The headphones will be available from the end of May and will cost “around” €200.
