Light & Wonder, Inc. announced an expanded multi-year worldwide licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Pictures. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment (WBDGTE) to create new game worlds for customers through Light & Wonder’s content aggregation platform. Starting with WILLY WONKA: WORLD OF WONKA, which has been a decades-old favorite for physical slots in casinos, fans can now try the game online as well.

The long-term agreement will allow Light & Wonder’s in-house game development teams to benefit from a suite of highly successful brand licenses from their long-term partner Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, which showcases titles in a range of vertical markets that will appear in regulated markets around the world through the OENGAMING ecosystem. The agreement marks the next phase of Light & Wonder’s multi-channel content strategy, as the company continues to forge partnerships to accelerate its leadership position as a global producer of premium content.

Willy WONKA: WORLD OF WONKA will be the first title released as part of the extended licensing agreement. Using iconic characters and moments from the popular 1971 movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the slot has been a huge hit in casinos across the US and around the world. The digital version of the game contains all the excitement of the original and is expected to be released in the US, UK and Europe.

A series of other Wonka titles are planned for Light & Wonder’s content aggregation platforms for all iGaming segments. Light & Wonder is also set to bring another terrestrial hit, THE WIZARD OF OZ: ROAD to EMERALD CITY, online as part of a worldwide rights deal, which includes additional Warner Bros. branded games.
