I have started the first edition of Licht Op Drachten

Drachten – Starting this weekend, Drachten will be in a completely different light for 10 days thanks to a light art festival. On Friday, the “Light on Drachten” was officially opened by Mayor Jan Rypstra by transforming the city hall into a “living canvas”.
Until Sunday, December 3, children and adults can enjoy all the light art works (for free). Every evening you can walk a walking route of about 3 km along 26 small and large light works of art.
This includes projections onto facades, other objects and various interactive installations. They take the visitor on a journey full of imagination and wonder.

Much to do
A side program around the “Light on Drachten” festival is also organized. For example, there are daily city tours by guides from the Dr8888 Museum and Smelne’s Erfskip and The Fabelmans is screened twice at the De Lawei cinema. The video installation “Distant Figures and Facades” by Johannes Bosgra will be on display at De Sluisfabriek during the festival.
Perhaps the most exciting show was the Symhony of Fire show on Raadhuisplein. It was held on Saturday evening.
