Dell announced a new line of Alienware gaming laptops on Tuesday. The Alienware x15 is a 15-inch laptop and the Alienware x17 is a heavier 17-inch model. Both laptops can be equipped with an 11th generation Intel Core i9 processor and RTX 3080.
The Alienware x15 is the smallest of the two new gaming laptops in the X series. The laptop is 16.3mm thick and weighs between 2.27 and 2.3kg depending on the configuration. The laptop can be equipped with an Intel Core i7 11800H or i9 11900H processor.
Additionally, configurations can be done with three different Nvidia GPUs. The x15 can be equipped with RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6, RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, or RTX 3080 8GB GDDR6. Moreover, the laptop can be equipped with a maximum capacity of 32GB DDR4.
The Alienware x17 is the most powerful of the two laptops. This laptop can be offered in the most powerful configuration with i9 11900HK, RTX 3080 16GB GDDR6 and max 64GB DDR4 XMP RAM The 17-inch model is also a bit heavier and weighs between 3.02 and 3.2kg, the thickness of the laptop is max 21mm.
Both x15 and x17 should be available from June 15th. x15 starts at $2000 and x17 starts at $2100. These are US prices. Dell has yet to announce pricing or an official release date for the Netherlands.
