At least three dead as a result of Storm Babbitt, as severe weather continues

In the Angus area north of Dundee, several people were removed from their homes and taken to safety. Railway companies have advised travelers in many places not to take the train due to continuing severe weather. Roads are closed

In the Trent (Nottinghamshire) catchment area, authorities sounded the alarm due to the massive water supply. The river has burst its banks in more places. Babbitt has been causing problems since Wednesday, especially in the northern part of the United Kingdom. Three deaths have been reported so far. A man is still missing in Aberdeenshire, according to the BBC. On Friday, a plane landed next to the runway at Leeds Airport due to strong winds. According to the rescue service, none of the passengers were injured.

Denmark and Norway

The severe storm also affected Denmark and Norway. There was severe damage in Danish coastal areas, especially on Jutland, partly due to water levels rising by more than two meters in some places. The most worrying reports came from the towns of Abenra, Haderslev, Sønderborg, Hesnes, Finchaff, Faaborg and Asens. Thousands of families in the affected areas were left without electricity.
