Swatik faced a tough group for a long time with Croatian Petra Martic, who came back 5-5 after trailing 5-3 in the second set. It eventually became 6-2 7-5 for the Poles. The 22-year-old Swiatek used her fourth game point after 1 hour and 43 minutes.
