Set a cinematic wallpaper on your Google Pixel: Here’s how
It has recently become possible to set a cinematic wallpaper on your Google Pixel smartphone. This gives a more depth background.

Cinematic wallpaper on Google Pixel phones
Google regularly adds new features to its Pixel smartphones. From now on, you can create emoji wallpapers, with which you can easily and quickly create a unique wallpaper. Also new are the so-called “cinematic backgrounds,” which Google announced during I/O 2023.
Here you change an ordinary photo into a 3D one, where the foreground is clearly separated from the background. If you set a cinematic wallpaper, the wallpaper will also move with you if you tilt your smartphone slightly. Do you want to try this? Follow the following steps.
- Open Settings on your Google Pixel phone;
- Go to “Wallpaper & Style” and click on “Change wallpaper”;
- Then choose the image you want to use as a movie wallpaper;
- Before you hit set wallpaper, you’ll see a button with stars on the top right;
- press the button and turn on the slider behind “Create a cinematic wallpaper”;
- Wait a few minutes for the photo to finish editing, then click “Set wallpaper”.
Did you go through the steps? Then you have now set a beautiful wallpaper with 3D effect. How beautiful the effect is, of course, varies for each photo. So try it out with different shots and see which result you like best.
NB: The Cinematic Wallpapers feature is currently only available for Google Pixel 6 and later. The functionality may also come to other phones later, but unfortunately nothing is known about this yet. Likes robot planet Stay tuned for the latest news.
Create an emoji wallpaper
As mentioned, it is also possible to create an emoji wallpaper. This way you can create your own background with small shapes, bright colors and a unique pattern.
