Omroep Flevoland – News – Walibi: “Come to the park later due to severe weather expected!”

Walibi Holland Amusement Park in Biddinghuizen is advising visitors not to come to the theme park during the final evening of Halloween Fright Nights until the storm subsides. KNMI issued a code yellow for almost the entire country on Sunday due to severe weather conditions.

A Walibi spokesman says heavy rain is expected over Bidinghuizen around 6pm. In a message on social media, the park wrote that the attractions will be temporarily closed for safety reasons in the event of strong winds, rain, hail or thunderstorms. Visitors are also asked to monitor park communications and follow staff instructions.

According to KNMI, several thunderstorms will move northeastward over the Netherlands during the afternoon and first half of the evening. These thunderstorms can produce strong wind gusts of about 75 kilometers per hour. In Flevoland, code yellow applies from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Only in the IJsselmeer and Wadden Sea area is there a warning symbol.

Walibi announces that visitors who decide not to come to Halloween Fright Nights due to weather can request a refund for their tickets.
