Six months ago, Nick Marsmann shared a dressing room with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami FC. It didn't last long, however, as the club decided they didn't want to continue with the former goalkeeper of FC Twente and Feyenoord. In recent months he played for San Antonio FC, but he is now clubless again and looking for a new challenge. It's probably in the Kitchen Champion category.
According to various media, the 33-year-old goalkeeper is in talks with ADO Den Haag. The hometown club are currently third in the Champions League and are looking to return to the Premier League as soon as possible. Two points adrift of second, a place that guarantees promotion to the top flight along with first place, it seems a realistic target. ADO hopes to sign Den Haag Marsmann to give further impetus to its ambitions.
The signing of Marsmann should provide much-needed peace of mind, as ADO Den Haag have already played with three different goalkeepers this season. If Marsman joins ADO Den Haag, he will be the second player in the selection to have also played in FC Twente's first team. Since this summer, Mohamed Hamdoui is under contract with Hagensen. He played on loan for FC Twente for six months in the 2018–2019 season and became champions of the Jubiler League, the current KKD.
