Jenson Broxby provisionally suspended after losing doping control at Rosmalen | sports

American tennis player Jenson Broxby has been suspended. The 22-year-old, ranked 101st in the world, has been sanctioned by the International Tennis Integrity Agency for failing three doping tests in 12 months. Broxby says he respects the rules, but fights the punishment.

Brooksby says he’s never used anything wrong and believes he was also tested three times in March. Moreover, the former world No. 33 says that during one of the checks he was going to miss, for last year’s Rosmalen grass tournament, he was simply in the right place at the agreed time. “I look forward to presenting all evidence and explaining to the independent commission what happened,” Broxby said.

Broxby has not played a tennis match in nearly six months due to hand surgeries. The American reached his highest position so far in the world rankings last June.
