Waylon hints at a return to The Common Linnets | RTL Street

Waylon, 43, has opened the door to returning to The Common Linnets. On the “538 Afternoon” program on Radio 538, the singer hinted that he wants to return to the studio with Elsie DeLange (46). “Everyone is coming back now. Now this will be a comeback,” he said.

“The door was never closed in my face.”

Waylon and Elsie broke up in 2014, after finishing second in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Calm After The Storm”, and did not keep in touch for some time. Ilse continued the band and went on tour with the other band members. A second album was also released in which Waylon did not participate.

“The door was never closed in my face,” Waylon said Wednesday. The singer confirmed that there is no dispute between him and Elsie. “A few years ago we saw each other in a restaurant. Then we walked up to each other and I said, 'Isn't it time we gave each other a big hug?'” And then we gave each other a big hug and maybe even a tear. You know what was the greatest success of her career and the greatest success of My career, we share it with each other.

Ilse said last fall that fans of The Common Linnets shouldn't expect a third album at the moment. “There is nothing concrete planned at the moment. I am now mainly focusing on my solo career.”
