Trump’s Ex-Attorney Rudy Giuliani Reports to Jail | outside

Rudy Giuliani, former US President Donald Trump’s lawyer, turned himself in in the US state of Georgia. He is suspected of trying, along with Trump and 17 others, to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

Six of the suspects had previously turned themselves in to the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. Trump is expected to arrive there on Thursday.

Giuliani denies any wrongdoing when he helped Trump publicize allegations of election fraud. “I’m going to go to Georgia and I feel really good because I feel like I’m standing up for the rights of all Americans,” the former New York mayor said as he left for Atlanta.

And like Trump, he continues to assert without evidence that the election was stolen. “I tell the truth, and they lie.” Trump always talks about the “witch hunt” and political persecution.

In jail, fingerprints and police photos of Trump, Giuliani and the others will likely be taken. In previous criminal cases against the former president, it was not necessary for a so-called criminal photo of Trump to be taken, but the authorities have already published two photos of the co-defendants.
