The EuroMillions jackpot has dropped tonight. According to the French newspaper Parisian It will be the winner in Switzerland. The lucky one escapes with a record sum of 210 million euros.
The odds of winning EuroMillions are less than one in 140 million. Both last Friday and last Tuesday, no one had the right combination, with the Grand Prix rising to a record € 210m. On Friday, the winner won the mix 6-12-22-29-33 and the stars 6 and 11.
Twelve other people just missed the jackpot and won € 2.49 million.
Euromillions’ biggest prize so far
In the past year, the rules regarding the maximum jackpot have changed, so there is more to it to win. Then the maximum amount was increased to 200 million euros. Once someone wins that amount, the next time around, the cap will be increased by 10 million euros, to the absolute maximum of 250 million.
When a Frenchman set out for € 200m in December, the new cap was € 210m. Now that that jackpot is down today, the next round is cap at € 220m.
