Republican Nikki Haley is set to run for president
Former US Ambassador to the United Nations and former Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley is likely to run for President on the Republican Party’s behalf. This was reported by various American media including the Washington Post. He will officially announce his candidacy on Feb. 15 in Charleston, CNN reported.
And according to people close to her, Haley, 51, will make her formal announcement on February 15. Haley was the first Republican to run against her boss, Donald Trump, as UN ambassador.

Previously, Haley had said she wouldn’t run for office if Trump did it, but she backtracked. “It’s time for a new generation,” he tweeted recently. It is time for new leadership. And it’s time to take our country back. More candidates
A number of Republicans are expected to run after Haley. Analysts say they are cautious and hesitant because no one wants to be the first to expose Trump’s undoubtedly tough comments. Other possible candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. American pundit Manusama sees Haley as a more moderate choice for Republicans.
Candidates forced to ‘come out’ early: The Republican Party Board is considering requiring candidates who want to participate in the upcoming debates to prove they can raise enough money from voters. The first Republican presidential debate is expected in July or August.
