PSV are in talks with Test – Voetbal International
PSV have sent a line in the Sergino Test. The right-back with a stint at Ajax ended up on a sideline at Barcelona that brought the Eindhoven top club out of business, the footballer’s entourage confirms.
Test left Ajax in 2020, at which time Barcelona paid over twenty million euros for the Dutchman with American roots. Last season, Test was loaned out to AC Milan, but the American international did not play much in Italy. Back in Catalonia, Test won’t have much time to play, so PSV will be hoping to attack.
At the start of the current season, Jordan Theis was selected in the right-back position under coach Peter Bosz, but the 23-year-old defender sees himself as a central defender. With Phillipp Mwene and the returning Shurandy Sambo, Bosz also has two other options for the right flank.
With Dest, Bosz can get a veteran option. He played 23 games in the Eredivisie before moving to Barcelona and went on to make twenty appearances in the Champions League to his name. In total, Test played 142 games in club soccer and 26 internationals for the United States. For example, he started the last World Cup in the United States in all four games at the foot, and in the eighth final, Test and his country were eliminated by the Orange.
