Greece’s Talon, Bart Stephens and David Bell route to the third round at Wimbledon | sports

The Greek track won with Stephens 2-6, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (7) against Italian pair Simone Polelli / Andrea Vavassori.

Bell and American partner Reese Stadler defeated the British/French No. 11 duo Lloyd Glasspool/Nicolas Mahut 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(7).

Butik van de Zandschol and Jean-Julien Roger did not qualify in the second round. Van de Zandscholpe and his American partner Marcus Giron lost 7-5, 6-2 to Girona’s compatriot Robert Galloway and South African Lloyd Harris. Roger was no match for Nathaniel Lamons and Jackson Withrow with El Salvador’s Marcelo Arevalo. The American duo 6-3, 7-6 (5) was very strong.

Of the women, Rosalie van der Hook and American Lorraine Davis had to give up in the second round. The score at the time was 2-6, 6-3, 2-1 in favor of Hungary’s Timea Babos and Belgium’s Kirsten Flipkens. In mixed doubles, Matoi Middelkoop won in the first round with Indonesian Aldila Sutjiadi 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7) over Mexican Santiago Gonzalez and Czech Barbora Strycova.
