Dutch baseball players win bronze at the European Baseball Championship | Other sports

The Netherlands fell behind against Germany due to Simon Baumer’s goal. Homeruns by Juremi Profar and Dashenko Ricardo and a German error led the Dutch team to a 3-1 lead. Then Germany came back 3-3 and that was also the score after nine innings. In extra time, Germany scored one goal, but Ricardo’s second goal gave the Netherlands two points and the bronze medal.

Spain won the European title a day after the match against the Netherlands. The lineup was too strong for Great Britain in the final (11-2)
