Krezip drummer Bram van den Berg, who grew up in Gytsjerk, will not take part in Krezip's club tour in the fall. Lead singer Jacqueline Govaert informed De Telegraaf about this. Since September, Van den Berg has been filling in for rock band U2 because their drummer Larry Mullen Jr. is temporarily out of work due to surgery.

“Starting in September, drummer Benny Packer will be going on a club tour,” says Govert. “He's already recorded some songs and it's been a lot of fun. It suits us well.”

U2's series of concerts in Las Vegas ended in early March. It was not already clear whether Van den Berg would return to the Dutch squad. Krzyb himself also doesn't know if his absence from the club tour means he will remain with U2. “Everyone wants to know when he'll be back and at first we were very worried about it. But we don't really know anything,” says the lead singer. She adds how incredibly proud they are of Van den Berg: “This is a very big thing and everyone has seen how incredibly successful he is.” Believe. So “when” doesn't matter now. On behalf of all of us, he is writing the history of Dutch pop music.”
