Battlefield 2042 testers sharing images may be banned from release version – Games – News

Players who share screenshots from the Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest may be banned from the full version of the game when it releases on October 22. Here’s what the EA Community Manager says.

EA Community Manager Adam Freeman writes on twitter Users sharing gameplay screenshots from the beta can expect to lose access to Technical Playtest, future EA testing, and possibly even Battlefield 2042 itself when this game is released. The community manager reports that the company has already banned “a lot” of people from Technical Playtest.

These actions are followed by reports that many participants in the artistic play test Pictures shared on social media. This gameplay footage showed, among other things, new gadgets, vehicles, and a “Plus” menu that allows users to customize their weapons in the game. EA confirms that it is a beta version of the game, which would be based on an older build of the game. So the images will not be fully representative of the Battlefield 2042 version. Later, EA and DICE will come with a beta version of the game, which should be closer to the game’s release version.

Battlefield 2042 will release on October 22 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. The game does not have a single player campaign, but it consists of three different multiplayer modes; All Out Warfare, Battlefield Portal, and Hazard Zone. The first mode includes “normal” multiplayer in maps with up to 128 players on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S and PC. In Battlefield Portal, users can design game modes with custom rules themselves.
