Sony confirms its VR headset for PS5 with “single cable” and separate console – games – news
PlayStation 5 will get its own VR headset. Be there soon Development groups To send, but details on headphone specifications are not yet available. Headphones are known to only get one cable to connect to the console.
It is a new headphone that will be the successor to PSVR. Sony writes in a blog post. Sony says the new VR headset builds on what the company learned with the PSVR for the PS4. This will improve the experience in many areas, but Sony is not saying anything about the resolution or field of view that the next headphone will have.
The company says there will be a separate controller to use with the headphone. It contains “some great features” also found on the DualSense Controller for PS5. According to Sony, the headset also has only one cable for connecting the device, ensuring an easier setup. Current PSVR still requires a separate transformer; Sony hints it isn’t essential for a new VR headset.
It is also not known when and how much the headset should be taken out. Sony says there is still a lot more to do, so the device will not be released in 2021.
