Microsoft Defender reappears with a new look and feel and centralized management in the Store – Computer – News

You are the number one gatekeeper, you are the antivirus. Microsoft Defender is more than fed up these days.

Nope, this is your security software (be it Defender or something else). Plus, I’m not the only one in the house using a computer, and expecting everyone to always be able to do it safely is unrealistic and just asking for trouble. Plus, you can’t always assume you’re always strong, just click the wrong link once and you’ll be out of the game.

And it’s not just your browser, it’s your email as well. I use both Goopgle for Business (or whatever it’s called these days) and Office 365 Enterprise. For example, I’ve noticed in recent months that something occasionally slips through Google’s SPAM filter and that the O365 has a great deal of extra security through it. Defender for Office 365 licenses (formerly ATP), so nothing sneaks through is not weird (but these are business tools).

However, I’m wondering if you ever have hands-on IT experience, having an anecdotal story about yourself and other “tweakers” nearby is very nice, but in practice, it turns out that things creep in regularly like your support of thousands of people. Users working in environments that are not properly secured. You really don’t need the “wrong” things on the internet for that. Or have you forgotten all the IT ransomware messages they post on Tweakers?
