22 people were killed and at least 50 injured in a shooting in Lewiston (USA).

Unfortunately it happened again last night in America. A shooting at a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine left 22 people dead and at least 50 injured.

Around 7:00 pm (local time), the gunman opened fire at several locations, including a bowling center and a restaurant. At that time there will be 100 to 150 people in the bowling center. The Androscoggin County Police Department, which includes Lewiston, immediately began searching for the male suspect. Pictures have been released of him and his car, in which he displays a semi-automatic rifle. Shortly after the incident, police said they were looking for 40-year-old Robert Gard, described as ‘armed and dangerous’. He is also said to be mentally ill.

Police sources said he was a certified firearms instructor and a member of the US Army Reserves, the reserve units of the US Army. A car connected to the incidents was found in Lisbon, about 8 miles from Lewiston. Police are advising residents to stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed.

It’s another mass shooting in the US, but more than 20 people were killed when a gunman opened fire at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, in May last year.
