The university offers a glimpse behind the scenes of science and technology



Under the theme ‘Technology for the Public’, the Faculty of Technology at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) will participate in this year’s Science Weekend on Saturday 7 October from 11am to 4pm. The college opens its doors to visitors and demonstrates the technical wealth it offers.

HScience Weekend, a national initiative, is held every year on the first weekend in October. From the library to the company, from the university to the science park, all participants open their doors to a unique look behind the scenes of science and technology. This way you discover what science can do!

The College of Technology will be showcasing several activities during the Science Weekend. For example, build a downwind car yourself or experience the city experience through virtual reality glasses. You can also learn more about the college’s new city pergola and learn about the research the college is conducting. Moreover, you can also take a look at simulators for the aviation and marine sectors.

Science Weekend is open to everyone and is primarily aimed at families with children ages 8 to 14. On Saturday 7 October from 11am to 4pm at Jakoba Mulderhuis, Rhijnspoorplein 2 in Amsterdam.
