The activation of the CIP has become a step closer with the appointment of the first director

The employment contract was signed with the Senior Director of the Center for Innovation and Productivity (CIP) at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Youth Affairs (AWJ) on 28 December. Manish Rambadjan became the first Director of CIP.

Minister McAndrew, who signed the employment contract with the Director, spoke of an important step in the process of operationalizing the CIP. The aim of the Community Investment Program is to enhance productivity and innovation in both the public and private sectors so that, among other things, increased productivity and improved competitive position can be achieved.

MacAndrew believes that activating the community investment program represents an urgent need to achieve sound productivity metrics and improve productivity in Suriname. He briefly explained the Ministry's efforts to obtain the necessary technical assistance from the International Labor Organization, especially regarding the methodology for measuring productivity.

The Minister has no doubts about the qualities of the new CIP Director, who was encouraged by the AWJ Minister to use his knowledge and experience to make every effort to achieve the goals of the CIP.

Minister MacAndrew would like to see the rapid activation of the CIP and looks forward with confidence to the efforts of Rambadjan, on whose support he can count. Rambhajan thanked the minister for the trust reposed in him. He noted that he would be fully committed to working with all participants to implement the CIP well.
