What?
Ghent University supports the Summer Academy project and invites employees to experience an inspiring (and socially relevant) experience during the summer.
Together with fellow enthusiasts, you teach children (Primary 3 preferred) to take their first steps in science and learning arrears are avoided during the summer holidays.
the goal?
Giving young people a positive view of their future and their wider future, focusing on talents, well-being and networks. We make young people curious about the future by allowing them to taste a variety. In this way they learn about themselves and can make more targeted choices for the future. This stimulates learning!
Under the name “The future is ours” we offer interactive workshops at the Summer Academies, which we created together with Sportaround (Bernadettewijk) and Standaard Muide vzw.
You can contribute to it!
Highlight your research or field by offering a youth workshop.
Two preparatory sessions are provided to build this interactive workshop together, tailored to the target audience and exchange with colleagues. A quick look at the previous version can be found here. also VRT News came to take a look.
