Nvidia and Rockstar Games release an update for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 that now makes DLSS possible. According to Nvidia, DLSS offers a 45 percent higher frame rate. The update is available immediately.
With DLSS enabled for Red Dead Redemption 2, PC gamers with an RTX video card should be able to play at the highest graphics settings possible at 1080p. nvidia promises In this case at least 60 frames per second. Computers with a GeForce RTX 3070 or better should be able to handle at least 60fps at 4k with max graphics settings.
DLSS stands for Deep learning for super sampling It is a technology where artificial intelligence is applied to improve game performance. Using proprietary Tensor cores in RTX video cards, DLSS-enabled game textures are rendered at a lower resolution, after which they are scaled and detailed. As a result, the game remains visually the same, while less computing power is needed to achieve the same graphic quality, or so the idea is. Meanwhile, Nvidia provides DLSS support for more than 60 games, including Call of Duty: Warzone, Cyberpunk 2077, and No Man’s Sky.
