News from the United States: F.C. Cincinnati expands Dutch space

News from the US: Presented by FC Cincinnati Kenneth Vermeer. The 35-year-old goalkeeper has signed a contract with the Major League Soccer Club until the end of 2022.

The American media has already announced that Vermeer will be transferred to Cincinnati. The goalkeeper has terminated his contract with Los Angeles FC because he will not become the first goalkeeper there.

“We are always looking for ways to strengthen our selection and hope Kenneth brings quality and leadership,” said Cincinnati CEO Gerard Nijkamp. “He has had success in his life and is happy with him. We look forward to adding him to the team.”

Vermeer was the sixth Dutchman in Cincinnati. In addition to Nijcombe, head coach Job Stamm, assistant Chad Baggatti, captain Michael van der Werf and Jurgen Locadia are also active at the club. Vermeer has previously been active at Los Angeles FC, Club Brook, Finnord, Ajax and Willem LL.
