MediaTek Dimensity 900 introduced, an octa-core 6nm supporting Lpddr5, UFS 3.1 and Wi-Fi 6. The soc gets a 5G modem and can display fhd + images at a refresh rate of 120Hz. Smartphones with soc will appear in this quarter.
from MediaTek has dimensions of 900 Arm Cortex A78 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and six Arm Cortex A55 cores up to 2GHz. Additionally, there is an Arm Mali G68 MC4 GPU and an APU for AI tasks. Dimensity 900-soc can handle displays with resolutions up to 2560 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The soc supports both Lpddr4x and Lpddr5 memory, UFS 2.1 and UFS 3.1 storage. The chipset can handle up to four cameras, while allowing the main camera sensor to have a resolution of up to a maximum of 108MP. The soc can record videos in up to 4K resolution.
Although the Dimensity 900 has a built-in 5G modem, there is no full spectrum support. MmWave high frequency not supported by soc. MediaTek has it Separate 5G modem with mmWave support In its range.
The Dimensity 900 can handle dual SIM cards and support, among other things Two conveyor assembly To enable a smoother transition between 5G networks. MediaTek isn’t reporting the mid-range smartphones the Dimensity 900-soc will feature in, but it says the first devices with soc will release this quarter.
