to Harry PotterThe series is one of the most beloved fantasy series of all time. The eight films have a special place in the hearts of many, but it cannot be denied that there are some mistakes here and there. The most glaring plot hole is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Prisoner of Azkaban It is undoubtedly one of the strongest parts of Harry Potterfilm series, but it also has the biggest plot hole.

Thieves map
Down a glaring conspiracy hole Prisoner of Azkaban It has everything to do with the Marauders map and the Weasley twins Fred and George. The Marauder’s Map is a magical map of every corner of Hogwarts, including secret passages, showing the location of everyone on Earth.

The map is designed so that it cannot be tricked with animations, alternating potions, or invisibility cloaks. Thus, even the most skilled magicians are unable to hide and the card will always display the person’s real name.

Bluegate
This Hogwarts map was created by Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, and James Potter when they were Gryffindor students at the school. Fred and George Weasley obtained the map many years later by stealing it from Argus Filch.

The brothers show the map to Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe). At some point Potter notices the name Peter Pettigrew (Timothy Spall) on the map. In the end, it turns out that Pettigrew disguised himself as a pet mouse that the Weasleys owned. How did the brothers never notice that Pettigrew was so close to their brother Ron?

There is no explanation
Even author JK Rowling never gave an explanation for this plot hole. Pettigrew was a well-known name, especially among the students at Hogwarts. So it was unlikely that Fred and George had ever heard of him before, but they did notice that Pettigrew was always around Ron.

Fans came up with the explanation that Fred and George simply hadn’t used the card in years before giving it to Harry Prisoner of Azkabanbut this is very far-fetched.
