It’s still comforting to have Adam Sandler (so strong in the movie) Uncut Gemstones) in a serious role, this time in a typical American sports movie. A fun mix of humor, setbacks, and pain, and the action is well done. In addition to Sandler, the film also contains beautiful roles of Queen Latifah and longtime basketball talent Juancho Hernangomez. There are definitely times Accelerates Cliché, but there is sincerity in this production that makes you watch. Three and a half stars.
