Forum Groningen is dedicated to America with works by the famous artist Serrano

The race for the White House is heating up. Forum Groningen marks this political battle with an exhibition by world-renowned artist Andres Serrano about America and the presidential candidate: Donald Trump. Andres Serrano's America & Trump runs from Saturday, March 23 to Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The American artist will be in Groningen during the opening weekend for a special screening of his film Rise and an interview with Eelco Bosch van Rosenthal. In addition to the exhibition, the forum will also include talks, events and films about the United States and the 2024 presidential elections.

America & Trump by Andres Serrano

The exhibition at Forum Groningen consists of three works by Andrés Serrano, which are being seen together for the first time. It is a unique collection of the film series America (2001-2004), the multimedia installation The Game: All Things Trump (2018-2024) and Insurrection (2022).

In this triptych he paints America after 9/11. Together they create a reflection on American society and Donald Trump, who after a career as a businessman, real estate mogul and television star, has held the highest office in America and is now running for president again.
