Concerns about Musk are over multimillion-dollar losses after it threatened to shut down Internet service to Ukraine through its Starlink satellite service, part of SpaceX. Ultimately, Musk agreed to continue paying the fees. Additionally, with the peace proposals he has shared on Twitter, Musk has increasingly moved toward Russia’s stance on the invasion, according to government officials.
In addition, the Biden administration is investigating whether Musk’s acquisition of Twitter and foreign investors could pose a national security risk. These include Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund and Finance, a crypto firm owned by a Chinese national.
