The ‘world’s smallest cow’ attracts a lot of attention on a farm in Bangladesh | abroad

Despite the national coronavirus lockdown, more than 15,000 people are reported to have come to see little Rani at the farm in Charigram, near the capital, Dhaka, the BBC reported.

Hasan Howladar, the owner of the farm, has already registered the animal in the Guinness Book of Records. According to Howladar, Rani is “the smallest cow in the world”. “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” Rina Begum, a visitor to the farm, told the BBC.

Howladar bought Rani from another farm in northwest Bangladesh last year. Little Rani has difficulty walking and is afraid of the other cows on the farm. This is why it is separate from the rest.

“She doesn’t eat much. She eats a little bran and some hay twice a day,” Howard said.

The title of the world’s smallest cow is still held by Manikyam, a cow in neighboring India. The mannequin measures 61.1″ in height from hoof to wither.

According to Howladar, researchers from the Guinness Book of World Records will be visiting his farm soon to see if Rani will drive out Manikyam.
