The Pokémon GO New Year 2024 event starts tomorrow!

And while we'll be sharing most of the details tomorrow, we'll probably be sleeping in a little longer, just like the rest of us. That's why we're sharing with you the announced details of Pokémon GO New Year's 2024 event:

• The event runs from January 1 at 10 a.m. until January 3 at 8 p.m
• Fireworks appear in the sky on the map
• Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff with a bow appear for the first time and can become shiny immediately
• Half hole distance for eggs
• 1/4 hatch distance for the first three eggs you hatch via the hatching tool in Pokémon Go
• The following Pokémon are most common in the wild:
  • Jigglypuff with bow*
  • Hothot with party hat*
  • Darumaka*
  • Bronzor*
• There are special eggs 2 km long
• There are special field research missions
• There are special raids with different Party Hat Pokémon
• There is a paid timed search
• New avatar items
