Many festival-goers come by car. This means that it can get very busy on the roads around the festival site near Biddinghuizen. Lowlands therefore deploys over 400 volunteers to direct traffic. These volunteers are stationed along the access roads and in the car parks.

Visitors arriving by car are asked to follow the yellow-signed routes. There is a separate route for campers, and the same applies to shuttle buses. The municipality of Dronten invites people who are not attending the festival to avoid the roads surrounding the event site in the Lowlands.

The festival is expected to attract around 65,000 people. The first artists will play in the Lowlands starting on Friday.
