In the letter, Mia shares that she wants to say something about her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest again. There, Mia, along with Deion Cooper, achieved the 13th place in the first semi-final. Not enough for a place in the final.
“The way I look back is I really had the most educational time of my career to date. Whether it was positive or negative,” Mia says. “I’m a real fighter and thanks to my partner in crime Dion and how we were through this together, I gained tremendous strength that allowed We can really give everything we have in that moment at Liverpool on that stage,” he says.
And of course it was sad that my childhood dream of being in the final did not come true. But I will not give up because of this and will continue to build my other dreams with full energy. The way I continue to explain it to my loved ones is that I am still writing my story. This is definitely not over yet. Successes and setbacks are part of this growth.
That’s why Mia looks back “with gratitude and pleasure” at the Liverpool adventure, with Duncan Lawrence serving as creative director. “I hope everyone can leave the Eurovision Song Contest behind and we can look forward.” In November, Mia will perform at De Melkweg in Amsterdam. According to her, this will be the first time that Mia Nikolai will show that she really is. “And I’m really looking forward to it.”
On Thursday, Mia gave her first interview after the Eurovision Song Contest on RTL Boulevard. However, something amazing happened. The alarm went off! Not because an egg has been floating in boiling water for eight minutes, but the interview time is up. You can see exactly how that happened in the video below.
