Golfers Nicolai Højgaard and Pablo Larrazábal to KLM Open, wildcard Lars van Meijel | other sports

Danish golfer Nikolaj Hoggard and Pablo Larzabal from Spain will take part in the KLM Open, the biggest golf tournament in the Netherlands, at the end of this month. Lars van Miguel received a wildcard, as did Vince van Veen. The two Dutchmen will compete in the Challenge Tour. Rowen Caron, who usually plays on an American tour, also received an invitation.

Earlier it was announced that defending champion Victor Perez will return to Cromfort and Adrian Mironc will also bring the blessing. They are numbers 3 and 4 respectively in the Race to Dubai. Joost Luiten also has a shot at the title.

Among the prominent names in the list of participants is the Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick. South African Jaden Schaper also stars in the Bernardos. The 22-year-old Schaper has already finished four times in the top three at the World Tour Championships this season.

Jerry Gee, Jack Ingham, Lars van der Veyt and Denny Kluth received wildcards for the Dutch amateur places.

The KLM Open runs from May 25-28.
