Young American Amy (Zoe Saldana)’s school year abroad begins well: good food, good company and a beautiful sea. But her journey soon becomes more complicated. She becomes involved with Sicilian chef Lino (Eugenio Mastandrea) and soon has health problems that could tear the two lovers apart. To face this unexpected challenge, Amy and Lino will have to unite their families into a cross-border support system that pushes boundaries and overcomes obstacles.
The limited series was created by Attica Locke and Tempe Locke based on Tempe Locke’s memoir of the same name.
