Fear of shame to fly or fly? Travel to America!

Those who are afraid of flying (or the humiliation of flying hippers nowadays) can use the ferry service to the United States by sailing from November 19, 2022.

This ferry service follows the old route: from Europe, with trade winds, to South America and the Caribbean, from here back to the Netherlands. The voyage is accompanied by two mast ships Morgenster, about 50 meters long. With this, Fair Ferry takes the first step towards intercontinental passenger transport, providing a permanent alternative to aircraft.

De Morgenster will be launched from Rotterdam on November 19 in the direction of Lisbon. During this period, a steady trade wind blows from east to west in the Atlantic Ocean. The tallest ship from Portugal sinks towards Cayenne via the Caribbean Islands and the Cape Verde Islands.

Passenger traffic with small tracks.
The steady dream journey to the ‘new world’ is made by a small trail of Fair Ferry (Inter) continental passenger traffic. On the Morkenster, a 50m long two-mast, passengers can choose between seven stages, which can be booked individually and vary from six days (Cain – Paramaribo) to five weeks (Sint-Maarten – Rotterdam). The real (read rich adventurers with lots of money) can book the Grand Tour for more than four months.

Beauty never before seen in the middle of the ocean
As you cross the ‘New World’ from Europe, you will experience the magnificence of the Atlantic Ocean at its best. In exhaustion, you will encounter animals you will not see anywhere else, such as schools of flying fish coming out of the water, large jellyfish and playing whales. How to swim at a depth of five kilometers!

Anchor in the most beautiful bays
From Cayenne, you can travel to Paramaribo, Grenada, Martinique and Sint Morton at a cruise speed. It spends more time looking at objects, landing or swimming and snorkeling. Morgenster has a very shallow outline for its length, which allows it to reach amazing locations and anchor close to the ground.

In early 2023, the ship will begin its return voyage to the Netherlands, one of the Bermuda, Azores and Channel Islands.

About the morning star
Morgenster is one of the most beautiful ships in the Netherlands. The aircraft has comfortable 2 and 4 passenger cabins that can accommodate up to 24 passengers. Below the deck is a spacious lunch room where food is also served. The food is provided by a professional chef and he has a fully equipped kitchen at his disposal. Active travelers do not need sailing experience on this trip, they are active and open-minded. Along the way, the crew delights in providing a duty-free (training) education in everything involved in maritime life, from boating to sailing. Controlling the ship was also discussed.

Of course there is plenty of time to relax, read a book, and have a good conversation. When crossing the ocean, boating is done at night and everyone has to wait. The nights at sea are magical as there is no ambient light in the sea. As a result, in addition to the countless twinkling stars and planets, you can even see the Milky Way!

Above the fair boat
It is new, or forgotten old. A ferry service by sailing ship! Fair Ferry refers to a slow journey. A constant adventure with a tall ship at sea. Because travel is just as important as the destination. Also because there is still a lot to see and enjoy while traveling along the way. In the future, Fair Ferry will use high-speed sailing vessels to bring standard ferry connections to the wider public.

Alternate to fly
Carol de Boer (founder of Fair Ferry): “By organizing this voyage, we are trying to provide an alternative to flying and Fair Ferry is taking a first step in the field of intercontinental passenger transport.”
