Favorable Start Times for IndyCar Races for European Spectators >> OpenWheelWorld.Net

Even IndyCar spoils European fans by starting the first two races extremely early: both the race on the streets of St. Petersburg and the race at Texas Motor Speedway start around 6:30pm ET. This will not become the norm throughout the rest of the season, with the majority of races starting around 9:30pm.

As usual, this will not apply to the 107th Indianapolis 500, which will start at 6:45 p.m. as usual.

The times listed are still subject to change: IndyCar occasionally changes start times if this can lead to more American viewers, or due to inclement weather. Not all races have confirmed start times, so start times are based in part on US broadcast start times + a 30-minute preview.

Just like last year, Ziggo Sport will live broadcast both the qualifying sessions and the races in the Netherlands this year. If there is no competition from other sports, it will be on the open channel, otherwise Ziggo Sport Racing will be used.

Free practice and qualifying sessions will also be streamed via IndyCar’s live streaming service, IndyCar Live. Belgian viewers can follow all the races – except the Indy 500 – via this live stream!
