Activision has released Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera. This is the new name for the original Call of Duty: Warzone made available again, though with fewer stadiums and game modes. The successor to this battle royale game was released two weeks ago: Warzone 2.0.
The Warzone 1 servers went down on November 16th and have been back online since then. Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera is missing some features that were previously available. For example, there is only one stadium called Caldera. This means that the playgrounds of the original Rebirth Island, Fortune’s Keep, or Verdansk do not exist. Fortune’s Keep was well liked for its relatively small size. In the current Warzone 2.0, such a small playing field is also missing at the moment Activision suggested Rather, this will change in the long run.
The original Warzone was somewhat infamous for being mixed over a period of time with different game modes that were and weren’t available. Initially, the game only had a mode for teams of three players, though this option was removed for a while. Queues for one person appeared later single mode And, for example, teams of four players. Warzone Caldera only features single mode and a four-player team queue.
Unlocked weapons, content, and progression from the original Warzone are retained, but the game does not appear to be in development. For example, no new battle pass and unlocking content from previous battle passes isn’t a problem either. Content from Warzone 2.0 will not be available. Updates don’t seem to be coming out anymore either. Perhaps most of the time will be spent on the further development of Warzone 2.0.
