British celebrities sympathize with sick King Charles: “Terrible”

Actor Sir David Suchet, best known for his role as Detective Hercule Poirot in the TV series PoirotHe praises his counterpart Charles for being open about the disease. He also wrote on behalf of his wife Sheila: “It is wonderful that he has shared his cancer diagnosis so publicly.”
Three former UK Prime Ministers also share their condolences. Liz Truss sends 'best wishes' to the King and his family, and her predecessor Boris Johnson wishes the King a 'full and speedy recovery'. Sir Tony Blair, who was Prime Minister between 1997 and 2007, has also made his voice heard. Blair said: “I wish His Majesty the King a full and speedy recovery and a return to excellent health.”
Buckingham Palace announced on Monday evening that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. The disease was diagnosed recently when the king underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate. The news was shared with a new photo of the king, photographed by photographer Samir Hussein. The photo was taken during the King's recent state visit to France.
