Amstelveen The well-known American journalist Michael Voss will be a guest at the Literary Café 102 in the library on the Stadtsplein in Amstelveen on Saturday, June 8, from 11 am to 12 pm. During this edition, Ada Rüter (Venstra) and Anton Ferny (Library) interview Michael Voss about his latest book ‘Voss in de Vs’.

Michael Voss is now a US citizen. He created the documentary series ‘My America’ and the series ‘Beau and Michael in America’ with Beau Van Erven Torrance. He appears regularly on talk shows and current events to offer his views on American democracy.

‘In Voss in US’ Michael Voss describes modern America using delicious anecdotes. He has seen America become a country where the gap between rich and poor has not increased over the past twenty years, and the divides have widened enormously. In his book, he wonders how Trump has a good chance of being president again four years after the Capitol attack.

The Literary Café will take place on Saturday 8th June from 11am to 12pm at the Stadsplein library. Admission is €7.50 for library members and €10 for non-members. Ticket sales through amstelland.op-shop.nl
