Amalia goes to get the money, while her Belgian classmate Elisabeth goes to Harvard

Princess Amalia announced that starting next year she will need one and a half million to be able to perform her duties. No one knows what her duties are. According to the constitution, she is a member of the State Council, but it is not necessary to go there.

Her colleague, Princess Elizabeth of Belgium, has been accepted into the most prestigious Harvard University in the world. This comes after a successful study at Oxford University.
She will pursue a two-year master’s degree in public policy at Harvard University. “They will end up in a group that is very geographically and socioeconomically diverse.”

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in history and politics, she will now specialize in a two-year master’s degree in public policy. Harvard University belongs to the American Ivy League, a group of eight private universities, and is considered one of the most prestigious knowledge institutions in the world.

The Crown Princess moves to the United States as part of the Fulbright Program. This is the International Educational Exchange Program of the US Department of State. This year (the only one) there is an asterisk next to her name. She received an Honorary Fulbright Award. This meant that she followed the same selection procedures as other students – through tests, essay and interview – but she went to the United States without a scholarship or grant. For other students, the average grant is about €20,000, says Elizabeth Bloxham, program director at Fulbright.
