“In the character of Ivar, we welcome a strong and passionate coach to Sportcomplex Zoudenbalch,” says FC Utrecht technical director Tim Gilissen. “Ivar has worked with talented young players before and is known for helping them take the next steps in their development. His ideas about football fit in well with the game we want to see at FC Utrecht. Ivar himself played in the youth academy in Utrecht and still lives in the area. “He knows the club and the culture of this region. We are delighted to have him with us for two seasons and look forward to working with confidence.”
“I was immediately excited at the opportunity to start working as head coach at Jong FC Utrecht,” says Van Dinteren. “I’m known for my teams who want to win the ball as quickly as possible when they have to defend and when they attack they want to get to the opponent’s goal as quickly as possible. Instant game. I think it’s important that when people come to watch Jong FC Utrecht they see a great game. We have to To show them that: a lot of action, a lot of intensity and a lot of dynamics.”
In addition to Van Dinteren, FC Utrecht also welcomes Timo Plattel to its reserve team. The 29-year-old goalkeeper coach, a former international who stood under the crossbar as a professional on behalf of FC Twente and Almere City FC, among others, is out of the VEC youth academy and signs a three-year contract in Utrecht.
