It often happens that actors go into politics. Think of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the governor of California from 2003 to 2011. Ronald Reagan went one step further and became President of the United States. Will Smith also says he is now considering a political career.
The 52-year-old actor recently made a guest appearance on the podcast, producing and editing the Netflix documentary series Amand: The Fight for America, a struggle for equal rights in the United States. Here he says: ”I need help. Either I will continue to do it as an artist, or one day I will get into politics”.
The goal
With the amendment: Inspired by the assassination of George Floyd and the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution, Smith wants to educate the people and fight racism in the United States. The Fourteenth Amendment states that all Americans are equal before the law.
