In some truly surprising news, the Bills dropped a bomb before the games on Sunday, announcing that they were activating stud wide receiver Sammy Watkins from Injured Reserve.

It was the first action for Watkins since Week 2, and his first time on the field with the new offensive coordinator.

Rex Ryan has spoken all season that Watkins’ return would jumpstart the Bills, and that having him in the lineup would open the offense more than anything else this season.

It was simply that no one fully expected that day to come. Watkins has been among the most injured players in the league during his tenure, but his talent is endless.

In his return Watkins made 80 yards three receptions in their 28-21 win over the Jaguars. Can he save the flailing Buffalo’s flailing offense in the remaining five weeks of the regular season?
